For Corporate Buyers

Credits Built for Disclosure, Not Just Offset.

Every Biodivex credit arrives with a full eDNA species report, acoustic survey dataset, and BHI certificate. Species-level evidence you can put in the TNFD appendix — not just a claim about hectares.

What You Get

Four Things No Generic Offset Provides

Species-Level Evidence

eDNA metabarcoding identifies which species are present — not inferred. You receive a 90-plus page report with detection confidence intervals, IUCN status cross-references, and sequencing read counts by species.

Disclosure-Ready Documentation

BHI certificate, chain-of-custody document, and acoustic survey dataset formatted for integration into TNFD LEAP Appendix D. Your sustainability team has what they need without additional data processing.

Annual Re-Verification

Enrolled sites are sampled each spring. Credits issued in subsequent years reflect updated BHI scores. Your portfolio's ecological baseline is continuously tracked, not assumed to hold from the year of purchase.

Independent Audit Trail

Verified and Premium tier credits require third-party ecologist review before issuance. The audit report is included in your documentation package — an independent check that our BHI computation is valid.

Disclosure Integration

Designed for Nature-Related Reporting

TNFD

Taskforce on Nature-Related Financial Disclosures

TNFD's LEAP methodology requires location-specific species data in the Evaluate phase. Biodivex documentation provides species richness, IUCN status distribution, and soundscape health data at the site level — structured to populate TNFD Appendix D biodiversity metrics tables.

Designed with TNFD LEAP guidance in mind. Engage your disclosure advisor to confirm alignment for your specific reporting context.

GBF Target 15

Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework

GBF Target 15 calls on businesses to assess and disclose their biodiversity dependencies and impacts. Our per-hectare BHI score enables location-specific impact attribution — moving beyond generic proxy metrics to organism-level accountability.

GBF voluntary corporate reporting standards continue to develop. Our methodology tracks current guidance and updates annually.

Buyer Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

The BHI certificate includes the site name, BHI score, component scores (species richness, IUCN weighting, ACI, NDSI), vintage year, and an independent audit confirmation for Verified and Premium tiers. It is formatted to be appended directly to TNFD LEAP Appendix D biodiversity impact tables. Your disclosure advisor can confirm the specific table alignment for your reporting structure.

Yes. Your buyer dashboard aggregates all retired credits by disclosure period and generates a portfolio summary showing total hectares, composite species count, average BHI, and ecosystem-type distribution. The summary is formatted for use in the coverage section of a nature-related financial disclosure.

Credits already purchased and retired are not affected by subsequent BHI changes. The retirement is permanent and the documentation reflects the conditions at the time of issuance. We notify buyers when any site they've purchased from shows a meaningful BHI change so they can factor that into future portfolio decisions.

Biodivex credits are condition-based, not counterfactual. They represent documented ecosystem health at a specific site, measured against a site-specific eDNA and acoustic baseline. We do not make baseline-counterfactual additionality claims — the form of additionality used in carbon markets — because those claims depend on projections about what would have happened absent intervention, which are inherently unverifiable by any empirical method.

What we can document is change over time: if BHI rises from 61 at baseline to 78 two years later, that is a measurable improvement in species richness and acoustic diversity. Whether that uplift constitutes "additionality" under your disclosure framework's specific definition is a question for your sustainability counsel. We describe what the data shows; we don't interpret your regulatory obligations.

Credits are sold in minimum lots of 5 credits per transaction. Each credit corresponds to one BHI-scored hectare. For corporate buyers building a pilot program, 5–20 credits is typical for a first engagement. Volume pricing is available for purchases of 50 or more credits — contact our partnerships team for details.
